West Ham United manager David Moyes reacted “aggressively” when asked about his future following the Irons defeat to Bayer Leverkusen, according to Tom Rennie.

The Hammers crashed out of the Europa League at the London Stadium on Thursday (18 April) drawing 1-1 on the night to lose 3-1 on aggregate and end the Scotsman’s hopes of a second consecutive European trophy.

Moyes’ contract in East London expires at the end of the season and while no extension has yet been agreed, talkSPORT broadcaster Rennie insists that there is “no doubt” the West Ham boss “wants to stay”.

Writing on X on Thursday (19 April) he said: “David Moyes reacted very aggressively when asked about his future. He wants to stay. No doubt.”

Will David Moyes stay at West Ham United as sack speculation emerges at the London Stadium?

It has been suggested that Moyes is becoming increasingly likely to leave the London Stadium at the end of the season and you simply have to wonder whether or not that is the 60-year-old’s decision or the clubs’.

The Hammers boss’ record is hard to argue with and he certainly deserves plenty of praise for his European success, but the standard of football for the most part hasn’t been particularly exciting or entertaining.
