John Wenham believes Tottenham could use Alejo Veliz as part of a deal to bring prolific Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke to North London.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose feels that Solanke could be the perfect addition to Ange Postecoglou’s squad, amid previous interest in the 26-year-old.

It comes after Argentinian journalist Uriel Lugt revealed via X (3 April) that Bournemouth are interested in Spurs striker Veilz, with Fabrizio Romano having reported (31 March) that the 20-year-old is set to be sent out on loan again next season.

Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – feels that Veliz could help bring Solanke to Spurs.

“An interesting angle with Veliz’s link to Bournemouth is Tottenham’s interest in Solanke,” Wenham said.

“I think he would be a brilliant signing for Spurs, and he is a player who ticks a lot of boxes.

“Whether some sort of deal can be worked out where Veliz is used as part of a deal to bring Solanke to Tottenham, I think that is possible.”
