One of the top baseball outlets in the country continues to push out incredible talent, leading them to the doorstep of professional opportunities.
After five years in the program, International Elite (I-Elite) Sports Academy student-athlete Rashawn Pinder is passing through the doors of the program and signing with a Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise.
Pinder inked his name on the dotted line with the Texas Rangers in celebratory fashion at the Andre Rodgers National Baseball Stadium on Thursday.
The 16-year-old outfielder is the eighth Bahamian to sign a professional contract with a major league club in this current MLB international signing period — the fourth from the I-Elite Sports Academy.
