The player made a fairly bright start to life at Goodison Park, looking lively and dangerous going forward. However, he has lost his starting berth since Dwight McNeil’s return to fitness.
However, Sean Dyche ought to seriously consider giving Danjuma the nod to start against Bournemouth at Goodison Park on Saturday. The 26-year-old Dutchman has the quality to truly threaten the Cherries.
The Toffees desperately need a positive, attacking display in front of their own fans. They are yet to win a Premier League game at home this season, and have only scored one goal in those games. Danjuma makes Everton more threatening going forwards.
The Bournemouth full-backs, Milos Kerkez and Max Aarons, can both be got at. They are attack-minded, and Danjuma is the perfect candidate to run at them directly and exploit the space in behind them
However, Dyche does now have plenty of strong attacking options to choose from. With Danjuma, McNeil, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Beto, Youssef Chermiti, Jack Harrison, and James Garner all fit and available, the manager is spoilt for choice. Danjuma is not guaranteed to start then, but he is a strong candidate.
No matter who Dyche picks, it is just vital that Everton get a positive result against their fellow strugglers and produce an aggressive display with attacking intent. If Dyche can’t find a way to inspire more cutting edge from his team, then he will surely find his position in the Goodison Park dugout coming under significant threat.
