Philadelphia isn’t the place to turn around a rough season — at least it hasn’t been this year. And, to no one’s surprise, a date with baseball’s best team wasn’t any kind of tonic for the reeling Blue Jays.
Coming off a weekend in Washington in which they held the lead in the sixth inning of every game but won only one of three, the Jays sent their ace to the mound in the opener of a two-game mini-series with the Phillies and got blasted 10-1 for their 10th loss in 13 games.
