Ernie Clement came through with a clutch hit in the seventh inning with the bases loaded, helping the Toronto Blue Jays overcome a six-run deficit to defeat the Minnesota Twins 10-8 on Saturday.

Danny Jansen added a two-run homer, while Bo Bichette and Davis Schneider contributed with solo home runs for the Blue Jays, who had lost six of their last eight games.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider expressed confidence in his team despite recent struggles, hoping that this win would kickstart a positive momentum.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had a standout performance, going 4 for 5 with three RBIs, marking his 11th multi-hit game of the season. The Blue Jays set season highs with 10 runs and 16 hits, putting an end to the Twins’ hot streak of winning 16 of their last 18 games.

Guerrero’s two-run single in the sixth inning tied the game at 8-all, showing the Blue Jays’ resilience throughout the game.

Twins manager Rocco Baldelli acknowledged the Blue Jays’ relentless offense, admitting that his team struggled to contain them despite their early lead.

In the decisive seventh inning, after two Blue Jays batters reached base, pinch hitter George Springer drew a walk, setting the stage for Clement’s go-ahead single, followed by Davis Schneider’s sacrifice fly.

The Twins’ efforts, including Carlos Santana’s three-run homer and Ryan Jeffers’ solo shot, weren’t enough to extend their seven-game road winning streak, falling just short of matching the club record.
