Daniel Farke’s position is “as secure as any Yorkshire manager” at this moment in time after Leeds United defeated QPR, according to journalist Stuart Rayner.

The Whites won the Championship encounter 1-0 at Elland Road on Wednesday (4 October), with Farke prevailing over QPR boss Gareth Ainsworth in the dugouts.

Winger Crysencio Summerville scored the only goal of the match to send his club to sixth place in the Championship table.

Writing for The Yorkshire Post after the match, Rayner noted that “Farke looks as secure as any Yorkshire manager right now.”

The verdict comes as both Mark Hughes and Xisco Munoz were sacked by Bradford City and Sheffield Wednesday respectively on Wednesday.leeds united

Comfortable

Farke has had a few rough patches in the Elland Road dugout, but overall his experience so far has been positive, with the club currently in the play-off spots after 10 matches.

He may, however, have mixed feelings about that position, such are his high standards after previously leading Norwich City to the Premier League.

So much work was needed in several areas in the summer, with Farke losing a long list of senior players following the club’s relegation.Leeds United

Therefore the current league standings should be viewed as a positive given the calibre of players that he had to say goodbye to.leeds united

But on the other side of the coin, the manager will be disappointed with a handful of results this season, with the Whites having already lost twice, as well as picking up four draws, second only to Coventry City’s five.

Turning those draws into wins will be a priority as the season progresses, but Leeds are definitely in a good position at this stage.

In other Leeds United news, a BBC Sport pundit was wowed by one Whites ace in the first half of the match with QPR, with the player not “fazed by anything.”
