Inter Milan transfer target Alessandro Buongiorno wouldn’t mind staying in Serie A despite Premier League temptation.

The 24-year-old is a Torino youth product who rose through the club’s ranks and has now become a stalwart with the first team.

The defender is also an Italy international, and many expect him to land a spot in Luciano Spalletti’s Euro 2024 squad.

In recent months, news reports have been linking Buongiorno with almost all major Italian clubs. This includes Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli. The Granata star has also attracted interest from abroad.

Torino president Urbano Cairo has reportedly named their price at around 40 million euros, a figure that Italian clubs could struggle to forge.

Nevertheless, the centre-back feels comfortable in the Italian top flight, and would be content to remain on home soil.

“My dream is to win the Champions League and the World Cup, just like any other kid,” said Buongirono in his interview with Sportitalia via FcInterNews.

“The Premier League is certainly a very attractive competition. However, I also feel happy in Serie A. So we’ll see what the future holds.”
