Pierce Charles has extended his current contract with the Owls.
The talented young goalkeeper signed his first professional contract at Hillsborough in 2022 having graduated through the club’s academy.
And Charles has now further committed his future to Wednesday having taken significant career strides in S6.
The 18-year-old made his senior debut against Coventry in the Emirates FA Cup during the 2023/24 season whilst continuing his journey on the international stage with Northern Ireland.
Academy manager Steven Haslam told swfc.co.uk: “It’s great news that Pierce has extended his contract with the club.
“He is very highly regarded on both the domestic and international scene. Pierce has been training with the first team for around 18 months on a daily basis and the staff who work with him day in, day out have been very impressed with his progress.
“There are further challenges to come but Pierce is very level-headed and has the potential to successfully negotiate the next steps ahead.”
