The Texas Rangers scored three runs but the Anaheim Angels scored nine runs.
Sure the Rangers were facing another last place team but Anaheim turned to a left-handed starter tonight so the five hits collected by the Rangers has to be considered something of a boon.
At the very least, Texas turned their meager output of base hits into runs via extra base knocks but, by the time they really did anything at the dish (just two hits entering the eighth inning), the game was pretty much well out of reach.
Player of the Game: Willie Calhoun tied a career high with four hits tonight.
Up Next: The Rangers face another left-hander tomorrow night with lefty Patrick Sandoval suiting up for Anaheim while Texas will turn to RHP Jose Urena. Good luck, Jose.
The Saturday evening first pitch from The Shed is set for 6:15 pm CT and will be aired nationally on FOX.
