The Braves got a bit of a scare last night when starting catcher Travis d’Arnaud had to leave the game in the fifth inning after experiencing dizziness. After the game last night Braves manager Brian Snitker said d’Arnaud wouldn’t start on Saturday to give him some time to recover. With d’Arnaud’s concussion history (four total in his career thus far) you can understand the caution Atlanta proceeds with when he doesn’t feel 100% behind the plate.

So today, it’ll be their third catcher Chadwick Tromp making the start today. The catching tandem of d’Arnaud and Tromp have caught every game since primary starter Sean Murphy went down with an oblique injury on Opening Day. Atlanta added to their catching depth by signing veteran Sandy León back in early April.
