A HOST of Cherries players have been called up to represent their countries in the upcoming international break.

After Cherries travel to Merseyside to face Everton on Saturday, those selected by their respective countries will link up with their national teams to compete in a variety of qualifying matches and friendlies.

European countries are in the final stages of their qualifying campaigns for EURO 2024.

Welsh trio Kieffer Moore, David Brooks, and Chris Mepham have been selected to face a crunch qualifier with Croatia as well as a friendly with Gibraltar.

At youth level, there are a further three Cherries representing Wales.

Owen Bevan, currently on loan at struggling Cheltenham, has been called up by the under-21s, whilst Cherries under-18s Charlie Stevens and Josh Salmon will play three qualifiers for the Welsh under-17s.

Victory for the Scots would secure their spot at next summer’s tournament in Germany, although a point would be enough if Norway were to drop points in either of their fixtures against Cyprus and Spain.

Milos Kerkez faces another clash with country of birth Serbia for Hungary in their qualifying campaign, the Magyars welcoming their southern neighbours on Saturday.

They then travel to Lithuania for a second qualifier on the following Tuesday. Hungary currently top group G with 10 points from their first four games.

Illia Zabarnyi and Ukraine will face North Macedonia in Poland on Saturday before travelling to the Mediterranean to face Malta on Tuesday.

Although England comfortably lead group C, Ukraine find themselves level with Italy and North Macedonia on seven points, the Italians having played one game fewer.

Denmark have called up Philip Billing for qualifiers at home to Kazakhstan (Saturday) and away at San Marino (Tuesday).

Antoine Semenyo will be stateside with Ghana during the break, the Black Stars playing both Mexico and the USA.

First they will face Mexico in North Carolina on Sunday, October 15, before facing the US in Nashville.

After missing the last international break due to injury, Dango Ouattara returns to the fold for Burkina Faso.

The Stallions travel to Equatorial Guinea for a friendly on Friday, October 13, before facing Mauritania in another practise match the following Tuesday.
