Maresca worked as an assistant manager for three years before getting his first job as a head coach in May 2021. However, his spell at Parma lasted only six months as he returned to Manchester City to work as Pep Guardiola’s assistant.

Last summer, Maresca accepted Leicester City’s offer to make another attempt at securing a manager job. Under his stewardship, the Foxes won the Championship title, returning to the Premier League a year after their surprise relegation.

Leicester’s impressive run has directed attention toward their promising head coach, who could land a high-profile job as soon as this summer.
