West Ham United have agreed personal terms with Palmeiras forward Luis Guilherme as they close in on a transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Writing on his personal Instagram account (31 May), the reliable transfer journalist reports that the club have submitted a bid worth £25million plus 20% of any future sale.
But after a deal for Fabricio Bruno collapsed over personal terms [Vene Casagrande, 30 May], he has also confirmed that the 18-year-old winger has agreed terms with the Hammers with a deal expected to be completed “soon”.
“West Ham are closing in on deal to sign 2006 born Brazilian talent winger Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras, almost there,” he wrote.
“Official bid has been submitted for €30m (£25m) fixed fee and also including 20% future sell-on clause for Palmeiras.
“Negotiations at the final stages as personal terms are also agreed with Luis, here we go now expected soon.”
West Ham United refuse to waste trip to Brazil
It’s clear that the Hammers have been extensively scouting Brazil for their young talents, with Real Madrid and Chelsea snapping up the top talent in Endrick and Estevao recently.
