Burnley minority owner J.J. Watt has said this is the ‘most fun and exciting time’ to be a part of the Clarets, as the club attempts to find its way back to the Premier League following its relegation.

The Clarets – who were re-promoted ahead of last season – went down after finishing 19th and just lost manager Vincent Kompany to Bayern Munich. But Watt is fully bought in to helping the club get back to the top.

‘I’ve loved every second of it, the highs and the lows,’ he said on Tuesday. ‘It’d be easy to jump off board when things get tough but I think this is the most fun and exciting time to be a part of it. We went through a rough season, something that we didn’t want to experience and now we get a chance to rebuild and find our way back up.’
