West Brom owner Shilen Patel has invested near £1m on a new pitch at the club’s training ground, leaving manager Carlos Corberan ‘delighted’, as per the Express & Star.
The lead of previous owner Lai Guochuan was one riddled with disappointment and various financial controversies, so the takeover was met with great joy earlier this year.
This summer will bring around Patel and co’s first chance to back manager Carlos Corberan in the transfer market, but it seems a healthy investment has now been made at the training ground too.
As per a report from the Express & Star, West Brom have spent nearly £1m on a new pitch at their training ground. The investment, which has ‘delighted’ boss Corberan, means the surface is of a similar level to the one at The Hawthorns.
Corberan’s delight comes amid strong interest from Leicester City, who want the Spaniard to replace Enzo Maresca at the King Power Stadium.
