Dan Plumley has insisted that main creditors would instantly start firefighting if they were to seize control of Everton in the coming weeks.
Josimar recently reported that MSP Sports Capital and Rights and Media Funding Limited could agree to acquire a controlling stake at Goodison Park.
The football finance expert reacted to that news, saying that it is plausible and they would immediately look to wrestle control before selling it all over again in the near future.
“That is option three of what could happen next and that’s the main creditors take control of the club,” he exclusively told Goodison News.
“There is MSP in that, but there is the Rights and Media Funding that are a big player as well that we cannot ignore.
“That is a plausible scenario, I guess, it’s probably if you’re talking about finding a new buyer or creditors taking control, it is plausible that could happen and that would be a very short-term thing to almost fire fight, get hold of the club and wrestle control over it to sort it out in all the legal stuff alongside that.
“You then look to shift it, so, whether it’s likely or not, I don’t know.”
Dan Friedkin, owner of AS Roma, is the latest to join the race, with developments expected very shortly for one party to enter exclusivity.
It’s going to be a very interesting week ahead at Goodison Park.
