Bradley Locko in action for BrestNottingham Forest seem to have competition for the signature of French defender Bradley Locko this summer.

The Reds were linked with the Stade Brestois left-back last month. According to Get Football News France, he remains on their transfer “shortlist” as they look to bolster Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad in a bid to push on in the Premier League.

However, a number of clubs have been credited with an interest in Locko. And it seems Lille have now taken things a step further by asking about the player’s availability.

The report adds it is unlikely Brest would be opposed to a departure for the 22-year-old, who was named in the Ligue 1 team of the season for 2023/24. They signed him for 500,000 euros from Stade de Reims last summer, but he now has a 15m euros (£12.7m) price tag on his head.

West Ham United, Manchester United and Fulham have previously been linked with the France Under-21 international. An unnamed Serie A side also reportedly have their eye on him.

Forest will have a decision to make over their left-back options this summer. It remains to be seen whether Omar Richards fits into head coach Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans after he put a two-year injury nightmare behind him while on loan at Olympiacos. The former Bayern Munich man, who made the move to the City Ground in 2022, is yet to make his debut in the Garibaldi.Bradley Locko in action for Brest

Ola Aina was a regular starter in the position last season and a one-year extension has been activated in his contract. The Nigeria international is capable of playing on the left and the right, as is Welshman Neco Williams.
