Tyreek Hill and Tua TagovailoaThe Miami Dolphins are back at it with mandatory minicamp, and big names such as Tua Tagovailoa, Jaylen Waddle, and Tyreek Hill are all simultaneously in attendance for the first time this offseason. It’s been a noteworthy few months for the trio, between Waddle earning a highly anticipated contract, Tagovailoa beginning negotiations, and questions emerging around a potential restructure for Hill.

While Waddle landed a three-year, $84.75 million deal with $76 million guaranteed, Tagovailoa and Hill are growing impatient awaiting deals of their own. Waddle was just one of the recent receivers to cash out, as Justin Jefferson, A.J. Brown, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and DeVonta Smith each earned massive paydays.

The Dolphins have a similar situation on their hands as the Philadelphia Eagles did. Shortly after paying Smith, Brown wanted a restructure of his own. Of course, it didn’t take long after Waddle’s contract for similar rumors to surface regarding Hill, the NFL’s leading receiver in 2023.Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa

“About the contract situation, you know what, I’m going to let my agent do his job, man. His job is to be great at that and my job is obviously to come out here and continue to do whatever I can to help this team win, whether that’s a restructure, whatever the case may be, but we want to make sure it benefits both sides” Hill told reporters following minicamp.

Though he’s hungry for a pay raise, Hill understands that too much greed can hurt the team. “I want to be able to help the team as much as I can. Obviously, we already know being greedy ain’t going to help the team, so whatever happens, happens,” the wideout reassured.

Hill approached his own contract discussions with leniency, but he was firm in his stance on Tagovailoa’s situation. “Tua should’ve been paid. I’ve been saying this all offseason. I know we got a great front office with [Chris] Grier and [Brandon] Shore and they’re going to get it done.”Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa

While Hill wrapped up his comments for the day, Tagovailoa stood off to the side, preparing for the influx of questions regarding his contract and weight loss. Admittedly, Tagovailoa is growing antsy over contract negotiations.
