Southampton man Paul Onuachu is subject to new negotiations from Trabzonspor as they demand the Saints lower their asking price, as per Sports Digitale.
Southampton achieved promotion back to the Premier League last season at the first time of asking.
Russell Martin’s Saints beat Leeds United in a tense play-off final to secure top flight status for the 2024/25 campaign.
The club will now be working endlessly to ensure their squad is ready to meet and cope with the demands of the Premier League and they have already been active in the transfer window.
However, one man linked with a move away is Onuachu. The 30-year-old striker scored 15 goals in 21 league games whilst in Turkey on loan for Trabzonspor last season.
It doesn’t appear as if he has a future at St Mary’s and Southampton are willing to lose him this summer. An offer was made from Trabzonspor, but Southampton reportedly didn’t respond.
Now, the latest update suggest the Turkish club have re-opened new negotiations but will need Southampton to lower their asking price for a permanent deal to be struck this summer.
