Coventry City's new club record signing Haji Wright with Mark Robins after his €9million move from TurkeyDetails have emerged about how Haji Wright’s former club Antalyaspor will further benefit from their deal when they sold the USA international to Coventry City last summer.

It is claimed by a Turkish publication that a number of clauses were agreed when the 26-year-old joined the Sky Blues for a club record fee of £7.7million last August, on the eve of the new Championship campaign. The report says that Antalyaspor will earn another 2 million Euros (almost £1.7m) if Mark Robins’ men are promoted to the Premier League although that clause, according to the article, is only active for two seasons, meaning the Turkish club will be desperately hoping Coventry gain promotion next term, having fallen short of the play-offs last time out.

The report from antalyam.com also states that Wright’s former club has a 20 percent sell-on clause on any profit made on the player, should he be sold by the Sky Blues.Coventry City's new club record signing Haji Wright with Mark Robins after his €9million move from Turkey

The report reads: “While Antalyaspor broke the club record and sold Haji Wright, whom it transferred from Sönderjyske, to the English Championship team Coventry City, it also invested in the future with the clauses included in the contract. The Red-Whites, who put 9 million Euros (£7.7m) into their coffers from the sale of the American striker, added clauses such as a share from the next sale and a bonus in case of purchasing a Premier League ticket.”
