According to a report from Football Transfers, Tottenham will compete with Arsenal for the 21-year-old central defender. Murillo has been a key player for Nottingham Forest this past season and his performances have caught the attention of the big clubs.

The Brazilian is highly rated in the Premier League and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. The opportunity to play for Tottenham or Arsenal will be an exciting one for him. The North London outfit have invested in quality central defenders like Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin last season. They still need another quality defender to complete their defensive unit for the foreseeable future.

Murillo would be a quality long-term acquisition and he could develop into a top-class player with the right guidance. Tottenham have an ambitious project and the opportunity to play for them could be hard to turn down for the young defender.

Meanwhile, Arsenal need defensive depth in the side as well and Murillo could form a solid partnership with William Saliba at the heart of the defence.Murillo Nottingham Forest City Ground Nottingham Editorial Stock Photo - Stock Image | Shutterstock Editorial

The defender is reportedly valued at around £60-70 million and it will be interesting to see if Arsenal or Tottenham are willing to pay that kind of money for him. They will need to improve the other areas of their squad as well, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they are priced out of a move for the Brazilian.

Nottingham Forest might have to be more reasonable with their demands in order for the move to go through. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
