The Telegraph have revealed that AS Roma are now bracing themselves for an offer for Tammy Abraham as Tottenham Hotspur and other Premier League clubs circle over the striker.
Roma are bracing themselves for Tammy Abraham offers
It has been widely reported over the last few months that Spurs are in the market for a number nine and TEAMtalk were the first to report last week that Abraham is one of the options on the North London club’s wishlist.
Tottenham’s interest in the former Chelsea man was subsequently backed up by Il Messaggero a couple of days ago, with the outlet suggesting that Roma could let the 26-year-old leave for around €22m-€25m (£18.5m-£21m) this summer.
Spurs currently have Richarlison, Heung-min Son, Dane Scarlett, Alejo Veliz and Troy Parrott within their striker ranks in North London.
Tottenham are yet to make a decision
The Telegraph have now become the latest publication to report on Abraham’s future, stating that Spurs, Aston Villa and West Ham United are all monitoring the striker’s situation.
The Gialorossi are said to be expecting offers to come their way sooner rather than later, with the centre-forward also thought to be on the radars of several clubs across the continent.
However, it is explained that Ange Postecgolou’s men have not made a firm decision on whether to push ahead with a move for Abraham while Villa are only expected to pursue the England international if they lose Jhon Duran.
Spurs Web Opinion
I would be extremely surprised if Tottenham decide to push ahead with a move for Abraham this summer as I do not think the Roma star would be an upgrade on Richarlison.
There are better options on the market this summer and we ideally need a striker who guarantees 20-plus goals in order to challenge the likes of Manchester City next season.
