Nottingham Forest's Joe Worrall to undergo Besiktas medical ahead of loan  move - The AthleticNottingham Forest are planning to accept an offer for defender Joe Worrall as they look to ease their financial concerns, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed Championship clubs are interested in signing the 27-year-old as his days at the City Ground appear to be numbered.

Football Insider revealed on 6 June Sheffield United have registered their interest in Worrall after they were relegated from the Premier League last season.

Forest have told the 27-year-old he is free to find a new club this summer after he spent the second half of last season on loan with Turkish side Besiktas.

The English centre-back is likely to leave the City Ground in the coming weeks despite his contract running until 2026, and a deal could be done by 30th June.

Worrall has spent the past 13 years with Forest after joining the club’s academy in 2011 before progressing through to the first team.

The Nottingham-born defender went on to become a mainstay in the backline at the City Ground and helped the club secure their long-awaited return to the Premier League two years ago.
