Back at the start of the month, UOL journalist Bruno Andrade revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Vanderson from AS Monaco this summer.
It was claimed that with Emerson Royal potentially leaving Spurs, the club see his compatriot as a priority target to replace him.
Andrade is now back to Twitter with a little update on the situation, claiming AS Monaco have set a price to sell Vanderson.
It’s said the French side are demanding €40m for the sale. And even though Tottenham did make an approach, no negotiations have opened yet.
Vanderson, for whom Monaco paid €11m in 2022, is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €20m.
The fullback may be doing well in France and even had a couple of appearances for Brazil, but the Ligue 1 side may be aiming high when requesting €40m for his transfer.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will surely have to use his negotiations skills to get the player for a fair price, otherwise it doesn’t look like Spurs would be ready to spend all that cash on him.
