Coventry City have made their second summer signing with the return of Luis Binks on a permanent deal from Italian Serie A side Bologna.
The 22-year-old has agreed a four year deal after the Sky Blues have paid an ‘undisclosed’ fee for the defender who, although limited to just 15 Championship starts and 23 appearances in all competitions, did enough to convince manager Mark Robins that he has a bright future ahead of himself.
He particularly impressed in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United towards the end of the season, with many believing the left-sided centre-half just needed a run in the side to establish himself.
Manager Mark Robins said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Luis back to the Club, this time permanently.
“Luis impressed us with his ability and versatility last season while on loan with us, and he is a positive presence to have around the Club.
“He is an accomplished defender who is good on the ball and has an experience, and maturity that belies his years, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to continue to work with him as he continues his development with us.”
