It was revealed last week that the France U21 international had decided to join the German giants – who have triggered his £55m release clause, leaving Crystal Palace with no option but to sell.

Now, respected journalist Alan Nixon has shared what Crystal Palace plan to do with the Michael Olise money – and how those at Selhurst Park are feeling after the bombshell news…

Crystal Palace shocked by Michael Olise decision

Nixon claims that those inside Selhurst Park have been left “stunned” by the 22-year-old’s decision to team up with Vincent Kompany at the Allianz Arena.

Crystal Palace put a new contract on the table for Olise to consider amid interest from Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Newcastle – although he felt a move to Bavaria was best for his development.

Freedman is now believed to be accelerating the search for a replacement, and actually plans to spend the £55m fee on two new players rather than one.

Nixon states that the Glaswegian is searching for an “adaptable” forward to replace Olise, somebody who can operate in several positions across the frontline, with Marseille No.29 Iliman Ndiaye high on the list.
