Should the Oilers complete their Stanley Cup Finals comeback on Monday night against the Florida Panthers, a local pizza company has pledged ‘30,000 free pizzas’ to the people of Edmonton. 
Boston Pizza, which has no connection to the city where the Bruins and Celtics play, has promised to unload around 240,000 slices of pizza to the people of Alberta if Edmonton wins its fourth straight game over the Panthers.
The prospect of the Oilers lifting the Stanley Cup looked bleak a little over a week ago after losing Game 3 of the NHL’s championship series at home to Florida.
Needing a win to not get swept out of the Stanley Cup Final, Edmonton won 8-1 and has looked every bit the part of a title team since.
If the Oilers finish the job, Boston Pizza has proclaimed it will ‘make it rain pizzas in Oil Country and across Canada on parade day,’ a company media release stated.
