The Sheffield Wednesday fixture list for the 2024/25 season has now been released.
The fixture lists for the 2024/25 Championship, League One, and League Two seasons were released on Wednesday morning.
Sheffield Wednesday go into the new season as a Championship club despite last season’s struggles, with Danny Rohl overseeing a 20th place finish.
Meanwhile, Birmingham City and Wrexham join the League One roster, whilst Chesterfield and Bromley come up from the National League.
It’s bound to be another eventful and memorable season in the English Football League and in the Championship, which was the second most-attended league in Europe last season.
And for Sheffield Wednesday fans, in their first full season under Rohl, it promise to be an exciting campaign.
Sheffield Wednesday host Plymouth Argyle on the opening day of the 2024/25 season
Sheffield Wednesday’s first game of the 2024/25 campaign will be against Plymouth Argyle at Hillsborough.
It’ll be the Green Army’s first game under former Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney.
When will Sheffield Wednesday play Sheffield United in the 2024/25 season
The 2024/25 season sees the return of the Steel City derby for the first time since 2019, and the first of two Sheffield derbies will be played at Bramall Lane on November 9th.
Sheffield Wednesday will then host Sheffield United on March 15th.
Who do Sheffield Wednesday play over the festive period
Sheffield Wednesday fans look set to do some miles over the festive period, with the Owls once again on the road on Boxing Day.
On December 21st, Sheffield Wednesday host Stoke City, then travelling to Middlesbrough on Boxing Day, and then to Preston North End on December 29th.

Sheffield Wednesday look like they have a mixed run-in for the 2024/25 season, facing Watford at Vicarage Road on the final day of the campaign.
Sheffield Wednesday’s final home game of the season is against Portsmouth on April 26th, with Middlesbrough visiting Hillsborough on April 21st.
