Coventry City's Matty GoddenMatty Godden is understood to have completed his move from Coventry City to Charlton Athletic, bringing an end to his five year spell at the club.

The 32-year-old striker joined the Sky Blues back in 2019 from Peterborough United for a reported £750,000, going on to score 14 goals to help City win the League One title in his first campaign. Overall, he bagged a total of 50 times in 156 appearances under Mark Robins.

He drops back down to the third tier, joining the Addicks on a two year deal with an option of a third in the club’s favour, having moved for what is expected to be an undisclosed feCoventry City's Matty Godden

The South London Press are also reporting a ‘done deal’ and an official announcement and confirmation is expected from Charlton and Coventry City any time in the next 12 hours.
