The Atlanta Braves continue to suffer on the injury front, as Orlando Arcia was left out of the starting lineup due to an abscessed tooth. He is considered day-to-day. Zack Short took over at shortstop on Tuesday night.

As for Ramon Laureano, an oblique injury is likely and an IL stint is not out of the question. He was originally tagged with back pain.

And finally, Brian Snitker spoke on Michael Harris II, who has been out since June 15 with a hamstring strain. There is no timetable for his return, but he may start running soon.

Despite back-to-back home runs in the second inning, the Braves fell to the San Francisco Giants, 5-3.

Texas Rangers right-hander Tyler Mahle made his first rehab appearance on Tuesday night, tossing two scoreless frames and 19 pitches.

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed left-hander Jordan Montgomery on the 15-day injured list with knee inflammation. The move is retroactive to June 29.

Washington Nationals pitcher Josiah Gray is experiencing elbow discomfort and will get additional testing.

The Toronto Blue Jays placed infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa on the 10-day injured list with a knee sprain. In a corresponding move, the club recalled Leo Jimenez from Triple-A Buffalo.

The Miami Marlins designated shortstop Tim Anderson for assignment. To take his spot on the roster, the Fish recalled Xavier Edwards.
