Eintracht Frankfurt have ended their interest in one Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder and this could pave the way for Borussia Dortmund to win the race.

Fabian Hurzeler has been appointed as Brighton & Hove Albion manager replacing Roberto De Zerbi who decided to end his 18 month association with the club.

The club have already been busy in the transfer market with the signing of Feyenoord midfielder Mats Wieffer for £30 million, despite Arne Slot’s Liverpool holding an interest.

However, whilst one promising player comes through the door, it appears that one fan favourite at the AMEX Stadium could well be on

HITC has reported that Borussia Dortmund are confident of an agreement for Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross.

Gross has become a fan favourite at the AMEX Stadium but the 33-year-old is attracting interest from the German giants who reached the Champions League final last season.

Brighton had been hoping that the midfielder would put pen to paper on a new deal to add to the club’s options next season but the German has made it clear that a move to the Signal Iduna Park would be his preference.

Eintracht Frankfurt manager Dino Toppmöller spoke to Mopo about Gross and has dropped a hint about his future: “Because of his experience and his personality, we would have loved to have him here, but the issue has now been settled. We don’t need to talk much about it anymore.”
