Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O’Brien has agreed a move to Major League Soccer outfit Los Angeles FC, sources have told Football Insider.
The 25-year-old is jetting out to the United States to put the finishing touches on a loan move.
O’Brien is poised to seal his third loan exit since joining Nottingham Forest from Huddersfield in 2022.
The midfielder is no stranger to MLS football, having spent four months with DC United in 2023.
He spent the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough as they finished eighth in the second tier under Michael Carrick.
O’Brien made 25 appearances across all competitions for Boro, starting in 19 of those outings and registering one assist.
O’Brien set to leave Nottingham Forest for LAFC
The left-footer has played 17 times for Forest since joining – with 13 of those games coming in the Premier League.
His contract at the City Ground runs until June 2026.
