Leicester City’s title-winning captain Wes Morgan has headed back to the red corner of the East Midlands after rejoining Nottingham Forest.
Morgan has been announced as a new national scout with Forest’s academy, the former centre-back returning to his Nottingham roots and to the City Ground, where he made his name as a player. At Forest, Morgan played more than 400 times before his £1m switch to the King Power Stadium.
Hanging up his boots in 2021, with his final appearance coming in City’s FA Cup final triumph, Morgan has been doing a spot of punditry in the mean-time, as well as sitting on the board at the PFA. Now he’s got a new gig back at his old club.
Forest say Morgan will work as a national scout for their newly-formed emerging talent recruitment team. He’ll be scouring the country for the best up-and-coming youngsters.
