PHOENIX — Kolby Allard allowed one run over five innings, Trea Turner notched two RBIs and J.T. Realmuto homered and doubled as the Phillies used a four-run sixth inning to beat the Diamondbacks 6-4 at Chase Field on Thursday.
Realmuto’s home run came on the same day he marked 10 years of MLB service time. The three-time All-Star has appeared in 1,204 games in his career; 664 of those have come with the Phillies.
Philadelphia has won three straight, while the loss snapped the D-backs’ four-game winning streak.
Weston Wilson, who was in the lineup because of an injury to Austin Hays, finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run. His two-out RBI double to left-center started the Phillies’ rally in the sixth inning, and they went on to score three more runs to take a 4-1 lead.
The D-backs answered with two runs of their own in the bottom of the sixth, but Realmuto’s seventh-inning home run gave the Phillies a two-run cushion while marking a fitting way for the 33-year-old to celebrate his service-time milestone.
