Leeds United target and Crystal Palace attacker Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is at risk of failing his medical in this transfer window, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that his hamstring rupture was a Grade 3 one that required surgery last season, which saw him being ruled out for most of the games.

While Leeds are keen on signing the 21-year-old English winger and even made a last-gasp offer, he appears to be on his way to Sheffield United. [Lyall Thomas, 12 August]

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Rak-Sakyi:

He most likely suffered from a Grade 3 hamstring rupture that required surgery last season.

Based on the very long timeline, there might have even been a setback during rehabilitation.

Depending on the injury specifics and possible setback, there’s a possibility for an issue with his medical.

Leeds United must now focus on alternative transfer targets

Leeds may be dodging a bullet by not signing Rak-Sakyi, as his recent injury history suggests he may not be a reliable option for the club.

They must focus on other targets who are less injury-prone and can provide more consistency to the team.

The Whites must continue their search for a new winger and not be deterred by missing out on Rak-Sakyi.
