West Ham United are one of the clubs to be credited with interest in AS Roma’s Tammy Abraham.
The Hammers have already strengthened their attack by signing Niclas Füllkrug and are apparently still looking at another striker this summer.
Abraham has been identified as one of the targets for West Ham, according to Il Romanista.
The Premier League side have tried to sign Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán, but they weren’t able to get this deal over the line.
Therefore, West Ham have shifted their focus to the former Chelsea man, and the report says say ‘London [is] calling’ him.
It’s further claimed Julen Lopetegui’s side are ‘ready to invest’ around £25m to secure the 26-year-old’s services. The report says this figure would please the Italian club, if West Ham were to make this offer in writing.
Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi has been working to get rid of some players. The frontman’s name is included in this list even though he has expressed his desire to continue with the Giallorossi.
Abraham is the only one who can help the director ‘give important treasure’ to Roma’s finances. If West Ham were to table a £25m bid, the Italian club could push him towards the exit door.
Given Roma are looking for £20m, who is to say whether £20m plus bonuses would do the trick? That would look an attractive deal.
