Steve Cooper will be looking forward to his first competitive game in charge of Leicester City, but will undoubtedly wish he had a few more signings through the door.

Leicester have made five signings so far this summer but their squad remains very light.

Tottenham will present a tough test to kick-off the campaign, but Leicester should take confidence from the fact they were defensively porous in their first season under Ange Postecoglou last time round.

The problem is, with Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka both injured, Cooper does not have many options to exploit this weakness.

A deal for Bayer Leverkusen striker Adam Hlozek is close, but it is unlikely the Czech centre-forward would be ready to face Spurs even if signed in time.
