Newcastle United have announced their squad numbers for the 2024/25 season with no huge shocks or surprises from Eddie Howe.
Harvey Barnes will wear the number 11 shirt following Matt Ritchie’s departure. Lloyd Kelly is number 25, Will Osula will wear number 18, Odysseas is number 19 while John Ruddy has taken 26. Newcastle have also resisted the temptation to give Tino Livramento number 2 or Alexander Isak number 9 this season.
Newcastle transfer target Marc Guehi would not get number 6 for United with skipper Jamaal Lascelles currently occupying that shirt. Paul Dummett’s old number 3 shirt would be available to the England while 15 and 16 are also free. Guehi also wore 44 for Chelsea as a youngster but that shirt was worn by Ben Parkinson last season.
