Leicester City will pay tribute to Craig Shakespeare ahead of the Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night after their former manager’s death.

Shakespeare passed away at the start of the month aged 60. He famously helped City win the Premier League in 2016 as assistant manager to Claudio Ranieri.Former Leicester City manager and coach Craig Shakespeare died aged 60

Shakespeare revealed last year he had been diagnosed with cancer. His family released a statement via the League Managers Association saying he “passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family”.

After Pearson’s exit, Shakespeare stayed on to work under Ranieri. He was then installed as caretaker manager in February in 2017 when Ranieri was sacked, before landing the role on a full-time basis later that year.Former Leicester City manager and coach Craig Shakespeare died aged 60

He would later work as Everton’s assistant manager before being reunited with Pearson at Watford and going on to as Dean Smith’s right-hand man at Aston Villa and Norwich. Shakespeare returned to City for a brief spell with Smith last year, spending eight and a half years at the club in total and creating a lasting legacy.
