The Atlanta Braves announced a flurry of roster moves ahead of Tuesday night’s NL East showdown with the Philadelphia Phillies. Most notably, the club added third baseman Gio Urshela, who was released by the Detroit Tigers earlier this week.
The club then announced that Austin Riley is headed to the 10-day injured list, retroactive to August 19, with a broken hand. And finally, A.J Minter, who will require hip surgery, was transferred to the 60-day injured list.
Urshela made his Braves debut in the hot corner on Tuesday, where he recorded two assists. Offensively, he logged an RBI via a bases-loaded walk.
