Leeds United made contact with Ajax over winger Carlos Forbs but the club have turned their nose up at a loan deal, according to HITC.
Leeds United have not had the start of the season fans would’ve wanted. After a disappointing 3-3 draw at home to Portsmouth on the opening day, a 0-0 draw with West Brom followed.
Pressure is building on the club to back Daniel Farke, who will still hold hope of going one further than last season after missing out on promotion.
Additionally, the Whites have not had a good window so far. Having lost four key players so far in Glen Kamara, Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter, the club have failed to replace them.
Now though, according to HITC, Leeds United contacted Ajax over a move for highly rated winger Carlos Forbs. They claim that they approached the Dutch club over a loan move for the Portuguese prospect, but their advances have failed to bear fruit.
Forbs only signed for Ajax last summer, making 34 appearances for the club last season. The 20-year-old scored four goals and provided five assists in his first year in first-team football.
The Portuguese youth international has already made five appearances this time around, four being in Europa League qualifying.
