Leeds United endured a topsy-turvy summer transfer window.
The Whites lost talisman Crysencio Summerville along with Georginio Rutter and Archie Gray, though, they brought in a number of top-level replacements.
Largie Ramazani signed as Summerville’s successor whilst Manor Solomon made the switch to Elland Road on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
So, the 49ers did well, all things considered, however, they did fail to sign a Rutter replacement after missing out on Gustavo Hamer.
Leeds could still sign a really talented playmaker who’s actually a free agent…
Leeds could still sign Stuart Armstrong
Stuart Armstrong departed Southampton in July upon the expiry of his contract and is now available to sign for clubs as a free agent, even after the close of the transfer window.
The 32-year-old picked up a season-ending injury in April but still managed to enjoy a productive year, netting six times whilst laying on seven assists.
Armstrong was on trial with Brentford over the summer but remains a free agent, so Leeds really should consider opening talks with the former Celtic playmaker.
