a spectacular player’s flashy performance display in Wrexham
Ben Davies headed home in style for Wales on Wednesday night as he captained his nation to a comfortable 4-0 win over Gibraltar in Wrexham.
Taking on Iberian Peninsula nation in a friendly at Wrexham AFC’s Racecourse Ground, Ben led his side out and opened the scoring – powerfully heading in from a corner with 22 minutes on the clock
That goal seemingly then opened the floodgates in north Wales as it was 4-0 before half-time with a Kireeffer Moo double and a fine effort from Nathan Broadhead to put the game to bed with another 45 minutes still to play.
It was Ben’s 81st appearance for his nation and his second international goal. He played the full 90 at the Racecourse while Joe Rodon was an unused substitute.
