West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell risks missing 12 weeks in a worst-case scenario given his hamstring injury, according to Dr Rajpal BrarJulen Lopetegui

The injury expert claims that it’s difficult to gauge the situation as Julen Lopetegui has stated that it was a setback suffered in training and has not offered a return date.

The scans will give a clearer indicator as to how serious it is, but as things stand, all possibilities are on the cards.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:

It is difficult to tell how bad it is because we haven’t had any update on the injury.

It’s hard to tell from just the description alone as it’s a hamstring injury during warm-up.Julen Lopetegui

“The worst case would be a Grade 4 full rupture that requires surgery – that would entail a 12-week return to play.

He will have undergone a scan and that would give clarity on the situation, something that we’re not privy to.
