West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell risks missing 12 weeks in a worst-case scenario given his hamstring injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar
The injury expert claims that it’s difficult to gauge the situation as Julen Lopetegui has stated that it was a setback suffered in training and has not offered a return date.
The scans will give a clearer indicator as to how serious it is, but as things stand, all possibilities are on the cards.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:
“It is difficult to tell how bad it is because we haven’t had any update on the injury.
“It’s hard to tell from just the description alone as it’s a hamstring injury during warm-up.
“The worst case would be a Grade 4 full rupture that requires surgery – that would entail a 12-week return to play.
“He will have undergone a scan and that would give clarity on the situation, something that we’re not privy to.“
