West Ham paid Wolves £40 million to bring Max Kilman to the London Stadium back in July, and he has already proven to be an exceptional addition for the club.

Max Kilman has stood out in every single game West Ham have played so far this season, and it’s now clear to see why Julen Lopetegui was so keen to bring him to the London Stadium.

The West Ham head coach knew the central defender very well indeed, having coached him during his spell in charge of Wolves.

Lopetegui clearly trusts Kilman implicitly, and it was claimed that the former Wolves man was in contention to become the new Hammers captain, before Jarrod Bowen was handed the armband.

The West Ham fans already love Kilman, after his stunning start to life in East London.

He has been incredibly solid defensively and it’s clear to see already that he’s a huge upgrade on Kurt Zouma.

And now Kilman has made a really surprise admission, when speaking to WHUFC.com.

The Hammers defender said, “It feels great [to be back here in London],”
