Newcastle United’s outstanding start to the season can get even better on Saturday away to Fulham.
The Magpies are heading to the capital for the first time this season, as they take on Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Newcastle United have got a good record there in recent years, winning their previous five games in all competitions away to Fulham. In fact, Newcastle have won seven of the last nine meetings between the two sides.
History is on Eddie Howe‘s side, and he could make his own bit of history if he puts another three points on the board this weekend.
Newcastle will eclipse 1995/96 season if they beat Fulham on Saturday
Newcastle beat Wolves 2-1 on Sunday, meaning they have picked up 10 points from their opening four Premier League games. It has left them third in the Premier League, with Manchester City and Arsenal above them.
Despite not playing very well, Newcastle are enjoying one of their best starts to a season ever. In fact, this is Newcastle’s best start to a Premier League season since the 1995/96 campaign.
That was the year that Kevin Keegan’s side nearly won the entire Premier League, only to be pipped by Manchester United.
The Magpies won their opening four games that season, but lost their fifth away to Southampton.
