Julen Lopetegui took over as West Ham‘s new head coach officially on July 1st, after David Moyes had been moved on from the London Stadium by the club’s owners.

The Hammers head coach‘s arrival was met with a mix of optimism and skepticism from the West Ham fans.

Some believed he has the skillset needed to take us to the next level, and they still do in all fairness.

Meanwhile, others labelled Lopetegui as the ‘Spanish Moyes’. Only time will tell which camp is correct.

Julen Lopetegui actually apologised to the West Ham fans after Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to Chelsea, and rightly so.

It really was a shambolic performance all round.
