It means head coach Arne Slot has plenty of options at his disposal heading into the weekend clash with Wolves at Molineux, facing a club in crisis.

However, there are still a couple of notable absences for the Liverpool boss, who may well have to persist with his replacement goalkeeper at teatime on Saturday.

Arne Slot revealed last week that Alisson had picked up a muscle injury and could not feature for the Reds’ contest against Bournemouth. He also missed the midweek game against West Ham with Caoimhin Kelleher deputising and Vítězslav Jaroš sitting on the bench.

The Reds’ coach spoke to the press about Alisson’s condition ahead of the Carabao Cup game in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

“Alisson is getting there but I think this game is cHarvey Elliottoming just a bit too early and we are looking at the weekend against Wolves, but it’s going to be tight so let’s see if he manages to be there,” Slot said.

It remains to be seen whether the Brazil No.1 will be fit enough to start the contest against the relegation candidates.
