Don Goodman insists the Leeds United hierarchy will only consider sacking Daniel Farke if they endure a similar run of results to the one at the end of last season.
The Whites enter the international break sitting fifth in the Championship after winning just four of their opening nine matches, drawing four and losing the other one.
Only promotion will do for Leeds this season and, while Goodman does not believe those high up at the club will be panicking yet, they may change their view down the line.
“The Leeds hierarchy won’t be panicking unless there’s a massive drop-off, like we saw in the final eight games or so of last season when they missed out on automatic promotion,” Goodman told MOT Leeds News.
“The levels fell off, the tightness defensively disappeared and they weren’t always the better team in games they didn’t get maximum points in.
“Only if that happens again will the Leeds hierarchy maybe question Daniel’s presence. But I just don’t see a run like that happening.”
Daniel Farke needs to find some momentum at Leeds United
Leeds have by no means made a terrible start to the campaign. Indeed, compared to last season, they are in a decent position to challenge for the top two.
The Whites went on a remarkable run of form around the turn of the year in 2023-24, but they have struggled for momentum for a number of months now either side of the summer.
